That is certainly a personal choice. Whatever a person likes in a place to live can be found in the United States. From tropical to cold climates, huge cities to tiny towns. You name it the United States has it.

I'd say hawaii, except the cost of living is sky-high.
I like Northern Va. Real Estate is getting less expensive, the schools are good, there's always something close-whether it's groceries or malls or whatever. There are quick ways to commute into the capital, too.

Depends on what you're looking for.
Northern VA has a great job market but a very high cost of living. We're close to the city but also near the beach, mountains, valleys, plains, everything.

um where there is water so thats leaves Arizona out to hot and high cost.. and not to mention scorpions.. Florida to hot humid and hurricanes.. Midwest tornadoes.. and cold.. east coast..Maine to cold - upper new york good.. Washington to rainy.. Cali to many earthquakes.. to high cost of living.. regular Virginia to high crime and cost is high taxes- south well hell hurricanes and hillbillies.. id go for Colorado or the surrounding states. warm nice weather economy good.. business new york..
