I have heard so much about Myspace and I had to check it out. There are A LOT of people on there who send you friend requests and it is up to you how you go about dealing with it. I have something like 55-60 friends and I know all but one personally. Tom, the creator, is the only one not relevent to my life at all. All the others are either old friends from high school or family members. It all depends on how you choose to use it. You can promote yourself however you want and you will still get the pervs...but you have the choice to deny their access. Also, YOU are in control of how much info you put out there so if someone comes to find you it is probably because you told them where you were in some form! So I think it can be a good thing if you are a good person in control of yourself. Otherwise, yes it can be very dangerous...just like anything else in life. If you want, go create an account and check it out. You can delete it whenever you choose. Hope I was helpful! Have fun!

Use it responsibly. Dont post anything you wouldnt want ANYONE to read. And handle your personal contact info just as you would meeting someone on the street. You don't give out your number or disclose sensitive info to someone you don't know. Why would you on myspace or Yahoo! 360? The Internet is a good communication tool BUT it SHOULD NOT be your primary channel for getting to know someone. I'm a strong believer that Internet relationships start and STOP on the Internet. Beyond that, you don't know what you can run into.
Anyway, why use MySpace when you already have Yahoo! 360 and all Yahoo's services in a centralized place?
Best! :-)

Myspace is a great way for people to meet other people, stay in touch with friends or find lost Friends. As with everything else in this world, good or bad depends on how its used. If you are 13 year old girl looking for attention you're going to find it, it just might be a different kind that what you were planning on. If you are an educated person looking for lost classmates, chances are you're not going to end up being murdered in some dark alley. I guess the point is, if you want something you're going to find, the key is knowing how to find what you want safely.

For the most part, I have heard nothing but BAD things about myspace. Stay out of their, I know about 6-7 people that have had their accounts hacked, their friends information taken and deleted. People are mean, and hateful in there. If I were you I'd stick to YahooAnswers, This is FUN!!!! And you can let someone know if they are rubbing you the wrong way, without accessing the account, and erasing everything!!!!!!! Stay here, if you go, I would miss ya! :) smiles for miles:)

All depends on how the user uses it. And lately myspace has been getting a lot of rap, although it could happen to any other like it.

Myspace is nothing more than one gigantic datamining project. I refuse to use it on the basis that who knows how and where people's personal data, interests, habits and friends are being used.

It can be good, it can be bad. Be sure to not include your home address or anything personal that strangers or phsyco's can use to get to you. Make sure to check your privacy settings as well. Facebook is a safer method, however, you must have a college email address to sign up.

well they say its fun but i think it just kills kids. it kills them cause there dumb and give out there personal information like there phone numbers, names, schools, and house numbers. but i still wouldnt go on it cause there are alot of adults on that place and its not safe anymore. adults go on there to lust after weak minded teens and kids. most of those people on there that calim to be teens are mostly adults anyway. and the parents are dumb to let there kids go on there. i say it should be shut down. they can say what ever they want, and no one is stopping them its not right.

It depends on how you use it. If you give out personal info to people you don't know whether they are online, at your job, in your school or wherever you just don't know what to expect.
