It depends on the city(s) you wish to see. Moscow was just rated the most expensive city to live in, worldwide by MSN. So it's not like a few American dollars will impress anyone. In smaller towns costs are cheap to reasonable but the larger cities are quickly becoming Europeanized. I recommend going through a few websites that offer tours based on your interests (History, Art, Meeting people, etc)

are you kidding they need money offer 200 usa dollars.. to them its like a thousand.. youd pay 200 for a rental of a car or a hotel room .. figure 10 bux an hr is good.. providing they speak english and take u safe places and progue ..

about 2,000 dollars. That's the going rate. It could get expensive. It depends on what kind of lodging you want and how much of the country you want to see on one visit.
