Actually I do. The original version has actually captured the story plot and concept very well. I particularly like the Japanese bald guy who loves to dance. Comparing him to the American version, I just find him many times more hillarious.
Oh, did I mention that the Japanese actress in this movie is actually a real dancer? I think either ballet or something. She eventually married to the director of the same film.
Nonetheless, I enjoy watching Richard Gere in this movie. But I would say the Japanese Shall We Dance is better.

I loved the Japanese version. The actors seemed like normal folks like you and me. It was really romantic, real, and funny. The J-Lo version was just odd. J-Lo is too big of a star to be real and she is not convincing.

It probably is. Just like the Japanese version of The Grudge is 50 times scarier.

That's weird, I just saw J.lo @ my fav. sushi bar last nite. She got up & started dancing on the flat grill. She was yelling... "When I say J.Lo, you say egg role."
Ok so I didn't see her there, & no I don't have a sushi bar in my town, but i thought it was funny. (lol?) Sorry if it wasn't. No harm, no foul?
But to answer your ?, I haven't seen either, but, I'd rather watch the Japanese version, cuz the voice overs would probably make her look like a better actress. No offense if any's taken. I'm trying to get points here. i8r daze.
