Why would they shut the Casino's down? They make money for the state. Makes no since to me.

I think it's awful, and that NJ politicians are notoriously corrupt. As far as the sales tax, I think it's a load of horse$hit. Corzine proposed a tax hike while simultaneously INCREASING the amount spent by the state government, all the while whining about how we need to "balance the budget" and how something must be done. Governor Florio, as despised as he was, at the very least cut spending significantly when he proposed his tax-hike.
We already pay absurd property taxes. I don't believe the solution here is merely an influx of funding - it's more basic and fundamental than that.
