I personally think that they will. In fact, I predict they will overtake the Red Sox in the 2nd half of the season and win the AL East. Steinbrenner will likely pull off a trade (or 4) and bring the Yanks back into contention.

Unfortunately, I think they will make the playoffs. I think the Tigers will die off soon enough and the Yankees will either get the wild card or the NL East title.

yes i think once they get matsui and sheffield back and if they make a deal for some decent pitching they will win the division by a game or 2
