Yes, definately. If two people wanna be together and get married that's their business. And their right.

I do not believe they should be recognized as marriages simply due the the fact that marriage in itself is not an event established nor enforced by the government to begin with. Let's face the fact, the real issue at hand isn't gay marriage, it's really about money. It's about tax breaks, and health care. Both of which I'm also at odds with to begin with. If it were truly a matter of marriage, there wouldn't be an issue. Nobody can stop two people from getting married unless you involve the government. It is simply a vow/covenant. You nor I can stop two people from taking this vow without infringing upon their freedom. However, a government (or any other man made organization) does not, and should not have to alter its laws to accomodate everything a person is capable of doing. If the law defines a marriage as male and female, the country has every right to hold that as it's standard. Being a free country, if their is disagreement to the laws, we give our citizens the freedom and ability to leave.

No I don't. Why because when you start changing the laws about marriage you open up a can of worms. So Ok today gays can marry, tomorrow a man can have two wives. the next day. How about we have the right to tell our children who they will marry before they are two! It's a very slippery slope. Why should we say yes one is ok but the others are not? Or a couple can married if the girl is 12 with her parents consent?

No they should not be able to marry. They can live together and poke things where they don't belong if they want to, but don't be messing with the sanctity of marriage between a man and a women. They have the option of a civil union in some places. Even though I do think that particular orifice was intended as an exit only.

NO

In 1974, homosexual activists forced the psychological community to drop homosexuality as an officially recognized mental disorder. Now it is renamed "Gender Identity Disorder." It's like all the downs syndrome people rallying together to remove their affliction as a syndrome.
******************
According to the DSM-IV they also have serious disorders like:
Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder
Histrionic Personality Disorder
Borderline Personality Disorder
Oppositional Defiant Disorder
Drug Addiction
Depression
High Suicide Rates
Bipolar II Disorder
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
************************************
Diseases like these are WAY over-represented among gay men such as:

Syphilis
Gonorrhea
Chlamydia Bacteria
Shingles
Trichomonas
Cryptosporidiosis
Schistosomiasis
Campylobacter
Proctitis
Shigella enteritis
Urinary Tract Infections
Amebiasis
Gardia
Rectal Prolapse
Hepatitis
Lice
Scabies
Penile-Contact Infection
AIDS
Genital warts
Salmonellosis
Intestinal Polyps
Colon cancer
Colon resection/colostomy
Sphincterotomy
Human Papillomavirus
Herpes Simplex
Cytomegalovirus

And these people want to marry and adopt kids? Where is the gender diversity in that house hold? Where are the gender role models? We are in for screwed up and a sexually confused generation of children in this country. Thanks gays, and your allies!

I think gays are overblowing the "protections" and 'privilages" marriage affords couples.... they can have new laws enacted for those same so called "rights" whydon't they do that?
IT is a deeper issue. They want to call it 'marriage' to try to normalize it in society, they want something that can never happen. they want to change the laws of nature..that is why they will always be dissatisfied no matter what "laws" they try to impose.

Why should anyone give you an answer at all?

What two consulting adults do behind closed doors is their own business and if we as a nation decide it is OUR business than we are no better off than those who live under the shadow of a dictator.

I do not believe that it is an issue that the government has any right to be involved in. What anyone does that is not in violation of legitimate law i no concern of the State or the feds

Leave the gays alone, let them get married. They deserve to be as miserable as the rest of us. Besides, they don't breed like rutting weasel immigrants from Cathoholic countries.

I think they have a choice. They are making choices that cause personal problems in their lives. No it isn't natural. And that can be proven by the type of bacteria that exists in the colon and virgina will cause life-threatening infections when introduced into the mouth, stomach. I don't think anal sex or oral sex by nature was meant to be.

I think they should be able to. If two people love each other and want to spend their lives together, why should they be denied marriage simply because they are a same sex couple?
