I got this new job which is direct selling of Cutco Knifes. Base pay is $16 per appt. + commission. But how do you determine commission?

They should have explained it to you. Your commission will be a set percentage of each sale you make. How much depends on the company.

Uh..and how smart are you to take a job when you have no clue how you get paid???

base pay is what u get so far. comission is what u get extra. so for instance if u sell 10 knives for 6 dollars a piece thats 60 dollars u get on top of ur base pay. commision is really good if u are good at sales.

Your job will tell you what kind of commission you get, you can't determine it yourself. Call them back and ask them and they should be able to tell you.
