This is not a real problem for me as I would like to be able to get a car that can get me to work first but I would say a yacht because you have the ability to be able to go out into a sea and just sit there with no one else around. On a plane you are always going somewhere whereas on a yacht you can getaway.
Also, living not a few miles from the South East coast in the UK is another good reason for a yacht although I also have a regional airport less than 7 miles away too. Decisions, decisions!

Well I currently have a Jeanneu Prestige 46 yacht so I will take the jet, but as to the point of the question.
I would take the yacht purely because they are more pleasurable by far, the sun setting at sea is magnificent, diving off the coast of france and spain is phenomenal, lying on deck feeling like there is no-one for hundreds of miles around and enjoying the silence is unparallelled and you don't pay as much to use it.
I recommend it to anyone.

Yacht. If the plane has problems you crash and burn, if the yacht has problems you can either get onto a lifeboat or pull into the nearest port for help if you can. Ok a plane has speed, but if I was that rich I probably would not want to be anywhere in a hurry. You can't beat being near the sea it has a very calming effect on me.

A yacht is good for relaxing, while a jet is only good for getting you somewhere. On a yacht you can float, sunbathe, do some island hopping, travel the coastline.. I'd only go for the jet if I could sell it.

I would like to have a private yacht because when I am out on the ocean at about sunset it looks so beautiful. And if you have a jet you really can't see the sunset on the ocean.

What? Is Rab Carr actually asking a serious, non-offensive question? You're not the imposter, are you? ⺠Hmm, that's a tough decision. Love the water, and being out in the sun, but I might choose the jet...pilots are usually hawt, and I could say that I joined the mile-high club. âº

It would be fun to have a private jet…every time I’m feeling bored instead of logging on to yahoo answers I could just get in my private jet (like Donald trump) and travel around the city…or maybe even spend every day in a different place….adventure and explore the world…hmmm so when are you buying me my private plane named fever again?? :)

i would like to have a yacht, I love water and I love the ocean. I would cruise in the Mediterranean for weeks and go ashore to visit all the historical highlights there that I haven't seen already. My hubby and I love sailing.

Why not do both?
Follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Buffett and get a seaplane (a quick Wiki tells me that the legendary Hemisphere Dancer is a Grumman HU16). It's roomy enough to sleep inside and is just as happy landing on water as tarmac.
Can be anchored or beached just like a boat so you can get your shuteye in any convenient Caribbean location.
Oh, and if I finally get round to getting one one of these days, it'll be called the "Serenity".

Yacht wins..I could get away from everything and no one could just drop in for a visit without being asked. Then when you asked them they would say yes.
