It doesn't matter if we "need" them or nor, they are living and working in the USA.
I say yes, at this point in time, we do need them. They are hard workers. They want jobs. They're making money and spending it in our economy. It would be too costly to flat out send them all back to their native countries. There are too many illegal immigrants to deport.

The emphasis is placed on the word"need". we usually look at issues on the"now time" while the impact of today's actions has its consequences(good or bad) on the many years to come. Illegals immigrants have always been an issue in the US. The media made it aware once more to the general public just like they did in the 60's. From that time and earlier (50's) as mentioned by writer s89555, the economy has not been affected, instead it grows. The 60's was marked by the very large influx of Cubans coming to Florida then placed in different states of the nation. They were illegal immigrants and today they are a vital contribution to the economy of Florida. Was is good or bad? Definitely good for the country. I project the illegals of today in a 20-25 yr. span. By that time many of their children would graduate from colleges and become positive contributors to the economy. America is based on diversity. Many of us descent from generation of immigrants. Basking in the good life here,we become selfish and vehemently we oppose another group to have a piece of the pie.

Immigrants have made the US what it is. German engineers virtually made the space program what it is. Illegal immigrants provide the bulk of the workforce that the US has. They do the small things that if no one else does would halt the country's development. I seriously doubt any teen white boy is going to go to pick corn for a living, or work at the docks loading the ships.

because there is an economic market (produce) that is propped up by the illegals. Without them the price of produce will go up. That will affect other aspects of life much the same way that gas price increase hurts people. Except that we can't stop eating.

They do increase the profits of their employers...
If it was across the board paying them a fair wage would make the need go away. But a lot of stuff would be too expensive to produce and exports would tend to flood in.

we need immagrants to obey the laws, calling them illegal is beacuase they are doing something illegal, like breaking out immagration laws amking them criminals, simple as that
but we do need immagrants, but not a flood of them, close the borders and let only so many in each year, america is getting smaller and our resources are shrinking

We don't need them for anything except to ruin our economy, fill up welfare rolls and to force us to accomodate them by changing our language.
Saying don't send them back is just giving in to the invasion.
