It depends on the brand. Is it Windows Play For Sure compatible? Some Mp3 players come with software that you must put on your computer to sync it. Others will work with windows media player. Windows media player is the easiest way to go...

1. plug you device into your computer
2. if you computer does not recognize it, you may have to install software.
3. use the software to drag and drop your songs into your mp3 player

4. or you can use windows media player
5. go yo sync device
6. drag and drop!

THE MAIN ISSUE IS THE BRAND OF THE MP3 PLAYER. IF IT IS AN APPLE IPOD YOU MAY HAVE TO USE ITUNES...
