Of course you wear a helmet. Do you know where the majority of donated body organs come from? The answer is motorcycle riders. And most of whom did not have a helmet on. If you are going to ride on a motorcycle (which in my opinion is not smart) at least wear a helmet. Don't make that ride your last one.

I firmly believe that wearing a helmet should be the rider's choice alone, and that helmet laws are unconstitutiuonal. However, I personally wear my full-face helmet EVERYTIME I go out, even if it's just riding a block. I also wear gloves, boots, and leathers. If you want to see what happens when you are not wearing this protective gear see consumptionjunction.com or gore.com - it's pretty ugly. I prefer to keep my skin and teeth on if I go down or wipe out, and I prefer my skull un-cracked.
There are two kinds of motorcycle riders - those who have gone down on a bike and those who haven't gone down YET. When it happens, you better be as protected as possible.

Yes. I wear mine all the time. You have no control over other drivers and you never know what might happen. I have seen brain injury victims and do not want to become one. You can suffer a life changing head injury very easily - even a fall at a stop light. A helmet might not be 100% effective, but it's a heck of a lot better than nothing at all.

Ride safe!

Let those who ride, decide! I fully appreciate the saying. For the most part, i do not wear a helmet. In the city, especially...i want to be as alert as i can be, no limited peripheral vision and muffled hearing, for me...my opinion. I wear my boots, leathers and gloves...sometimes, no jacket...again, my choice.
If the weather is rainy, hailing or snowy and cold, then yes, i will wear my full face helmet, by my choice. As for those that are pro helmet, that's your choice.

But when i learned, that a helmet is only effective to 15mph... adds 10 to 20 pounds to your heads wieght, so that it can snap your neck most effectively...i decided, either way is taking a chance, i'll enjoy my ride, my way...my opinion.
And if i am that unaware while riding, as to allow myself to get into a position that i am about to lay the bike down, crash into the side of the vehicle, who just turned left in front of me...or allowed my attention to waiver from my riding and went off the side of the road, then i deserve whatever happens to me...because i made the wrong decision to let my attention wander.

The riders i tend to look at and wonder what are they thinkng? ...are those who, do or do not, wear a helmet...but are in shorts with sneakers, maybe a t-shirt and flying down the road at breakneck speeds!
This makes me think of drivers going around some mountain curves...no guard rail, they are slow and cautious. A guard rail is installed and the same driver is now flying around the same mountain curve! Same as; ABS brakes, airbags, 4 wheel drive, etc... People become lulled into safety and believe all this will and is made to, save your life...nope, not always. It may, under perfect conditions...but are rare, indeed...my opinion and what i have experienced as first or second on some scenes of accidents.

I'll keep myself aware of what i'm doing, use all of my driving skills to keep out of harms way and let my common sense prevail. And if i'm going to die and not look pretty once i pass on...well i'm just not that vain and i enjoyed what i was doing, when i left this earthly plane. My opinon still is...Let those who ride, decide!

I ride a lot and I don't wear a helmet because they're uncomfortable, you can't hear, you have less peripheral vision, and I like the wind in my face.I is an added risk perhaps, but riding a bike is an added risk.both are risks I am willing to take.

Yes...I always wear a helmet....and a riding jacket, gloves, pants and boots. I have seen the effects of not wearing a helmet first hand...grey matter on the highway is not pretty.

If you ride a motorcycle you should wear a helmet and long pants. You aren't skid proof.

I wear a helmet every time. My helmets look cool, have stickers with suggestive sayings on them and protect my pretty head.

I'm anti-helmet law.
