I was just wanting to know if it was legal to outsource our state prisons to countries such as China? It would cost 1/50 the price to house an inmate in this coutry. We would no long have to worry about the costs to house felons and illegals.

Good idea, but most likely won't happen, their [inmates] lawyers are lining up as we speak. Civil rights. My god no TV, visitors, a healthy diet?

i'm sure it's legal, it's just that the prisons here make too much money to let them outsource their money, but we should send them to china or mexico. the way inmates are treated in those counties the crime rate would dwindle to almost nothing

Funny, I take it you already know that China outsources their prisoners to Africa to help in their economies.

And I guess you know that already happens around the country, in places like Florida for example.

Why not. it will solve two problems; relieve our overpopulated prisons and level unemployment as Americans will have jobs at Nike. Why don't we outsource you and your ideas too, eh?
