It didn't for me. I painted the nursery when I was 8 months pregnant with my first son, and my he's fine. I did buy a mask at The Home Depot that's made specially for keeping out paint fumes. I had to put on a coat of Kilz and two coats of paint, and it was OK.

Your big concern when painting is your balance. Pregnant women tend to lose their center of gravity when pregnant, so they're more prone to falling/wobbling around. If you must get on a ladder or step stool, please be especially careful.

Smoking and fantastically eating can damage the toddler in a lot of procedures, bodily and mentally---yet as others have advised you, smoking and eating do not reason Downs Syndrome. in case you do precisely slightly study on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, you'll discover it is also very undesirable, and not in any respect something all of us would want to inflict on a coming up toddler. I say "inflict" because, compared to Downs Syndrome, alcohol intake is fullyyt preventable and entirely lower than the administration of the mum.
