they are one of the best i have 2 great girls and they are a small animal with a great big souls and for those who answer this with they smell so do dogs you give them a bath... LOL i also own 3 dogs and they get along great with them.
I am a big fan i have ferret decals on my car and calendars and spoil mine rotten gizmo my youngest is my alarm clock she wakes me for her play time i think if she had her way she wold live outside her cage 24/7 but since i work and i worry i can't.
So since you asked the ? what about you ferrets how many and what are their names tell us something about yours?

DOOK!!! They are!!! And if you have ever been weezil kissed or made one war dance you do not know what you're missing.
Aaaaaa, nothing gets me going like the dooking of my four lil ankle biters in the morning. I'm being owned by four of them: Victoria aka Vicky aka Stinky Vicky, Socrates aka Socks(they said she was a he), Ferret Bueller and Baby B. aka Bart. The sweet little dears almost have me trained.
I even did CPR(well, rescue breathing anyhow, since he was just in respiratory arrest) on one of them last week, and I'm glad to report he's back to normal.

Ferrets are great pets! I had two sisters (Salt & Pepper) for many years, they ran free in our apartment and crapped everywhere in the corners. We would put a big pile of old socks in the middle of the room, and they would carry them off, one at a time, and hide them. Ah, happy days!

I have one fuzzy that my whole family just loves! Our ferret and our cats just love to romp and play together.

I've heard they make great pets. The last I heard, they're forbidden as pets in California.. I have no idea if that's true or not.
But pretty believable, most everything else is controlled by our overprotective state.

Yes they are Sweet,but have a strong musty odor.They are hipper,and mostly nocturnal though.
