I think I've fallen for my best guy friend. How can I tell if he likes me back?

Okay my best guy friend and I lost contact a year ago and he tracked my e-mail down and we've been talking and hanging out ever since. I think I've fallen for him I think he likes me back by the way he acts but then he's also trying to hook me up with his best guy friend who is cute, and inteligent but he's not for me. do you think my guy friend might like me? or am I just living in a sea of dreams?

Okay my best guy friend I care deeply about in the begining we were just aquintances then I moved away wishing I could have gotten to know him more than I did, I never thought I'd see him again then out of no where a year later hes tracked my e-mail address down and now we right each other 6-7 paragraph emails we hang out almost every week and we call each other on the phone almost every day. when I'm with him I sense that he likes me back but then he starts trying to hook me up with his best guy friend hes smart, funny, very descent but he's not the guy I'm after. Is it possible that my guy friend likes me or am I living in a sea of dreams?

maybe he's trying to hide the fact that he likes you. but i kinda doubt that. but, tell him that you don't want to be with the other guy but don't tell him like "cause i think i'm falling for someone else" and he'll be like "who" and you're like "no one you know" and he'll be like "then just tell me" and so on. yeah don't do that.

If he's trying to hook you up with another guy, probably not (unless he's being devious and testing you). But it could just be that he never thought about it, or assumed that you weren't interested - if he knew you were interested and had time to time about it he might decide he wanted to. The only way to find out is to ask him: either just ask him friend-to-friend what he thinks of you and whether he'd be interested in seeing if it could work as more than just a friendship, or just seduce him and let him think about it in the morning. Or you could try starting it off as a friends-with-benefits relationship, and see where it goes from there.

Well I really don't know because you say that your best friend is trying to hook you up with a friend, and if that guy liked you he wouldn't be trying to get you with his best friend. I think you should just let the friendship be where it is at and don't go any further because once its a great friendship that turns into a relationship the friendship will never be the same when the breakup comes.

if he's trying to hook you up, he's not into you. or perhaps he doesn't know he's into you. Either way, if you go out with his friend, casually, you would quickly find out...A) He'll realize HE likes you, and tell/show you right away, B) Nothing happens, you go out with the friend, no sparks is fine, and C) You hit it off with his best friend, because honestly, best friends are similar, so he's probably your type too.

All in all, it's a no lose situation. go out on the date. see what happens! Just make sure it stays casual, aka not-physical

The fact that he tracked you down says that your still in his heart, you must have made some impression!! Anyway, he cares enough about you to set you up with someone he considers decent, thinking it will make you happy, you now have the task of opening his eyes and tell him that "it is him" that makes you happy and fess-up, you know you love him, everyone takes this chance in their lives at some point, it is now your time, but don't wait too long, or it could be too late!!! I feel your pain. I think you should just well relax around all of them. Mabey tell your best guy friend that you don't want to be hooked up with anyone. Sorry I still can't tell you how you tell. But if you just wait I think that sooner or later you will know.
