No I don't think it should be totally free, but it should certainly be affordable. I think that it should be free for those people who need it on severe medical grounds. For example, people who have underlying health complaints that are causing secondary problems with their eyes and teeth. I also think it should be free for those who require urgent treatment. Preventative medicine is always best in the long run as it costs both the individual and the Government less money in the long term. We are very lucky in this country in terms of having a free health care system, which lets face it, is continually abused by for example, people calling out the paramedics for in growing toe nails. The problem is, we as a society, have come to expect free heath care, so therefore when we suddenly have to pay for it we are up in arms about the cost etc etc. Many countries don't receive such benefits and have to rely on charities such as the Red Cross. They also get left with staggering health care bills. I think our health care system is really good and we should appreciate it more than we do. Having said that the NHS spends over £70 million per year on managers cars. Now that I deplore.

Yes - and the tax rate should be upped to 60 or even 70% for everybody!
That's why I don't live there anymore - too many spongers and wasters and every year I had to pay about 26,000 quid for the privilege of these buggers in the neighbourhood vandalising cars, public property, harrassing people and generally causing life to be shite.
We need more people like you to really bring the UK down forever!!

In my opinion......YES, dental care and eye care should be free to all. Most healthcare should be free, but people who chose to risk their health i.e. smokers(like myself) should pay more Nationional Insurance or some other premium to cover treatment of illness caused by their unhealthy habits. Controversial, but thats my opinion

It is!!
Just be a dole sponging, welfare robbing, chav with a string of illegitimate kids to 7 different fathers / mothers and a few convictions for petty theft. Make sure you flunk out of 'skool' rendering you barely literate and invest some of that hard scammed handout into fags, booze & tinned beans...and a burberry (fake of course) baseball cap.
Come to think of it......everything is free for scum....

NO....the healthcare budget is already stretched to a point where the tax payer will soon see the effect.
people should retain personal responsibility and those who need to have it free get it free.
