I thought they looked cool (I am not gay) for a girl on TV but in the mall I saw some and they looked so ugly they were like clown shoes. They were blue (light blue) lime green orange and yellow with these ugly shoelaces. And to wrap the whole clown thing up, they were HUGE!!!

Converse shoes are awesome. Everytime I go to school, I always have someone complimenting me on how cool they look and saying that they want a pair. The colors on that shoe that you mentioned most likely look ridiculous but mine is way cool. I got the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Top in black and red. The day after they got delivered to me from JCPenny, I went to walmart the , pass the shoe isle, I saw these black with red trim shoe laces and I knew then and their that they would match perfectly with my shoes. I ditched the classic white and have never been happier without them. The shoe laces really do bring the shoe together which is why I think I get complimented so much. They just dont look like regular ordinary shoes. Travis Barker wear these types of shoe laces when wearing these types of shoes and he looks cool in them. - Johnny Lo

It depends on what you wear the shoes with. I used to think they looked like clown shoes, but when i got a pair myself and tried my different jeans and skirts with them, they looked a lot better. I think they are good with jeans when it covers the top part or partly slipped in the shoe, but never with a skirt,

Converse are not ugly. The ones you described don't sound so cool, but the plain-colored ones are fine. And if they were huge, they were obviously for the big-footed people. If you liked converse on t.v., look at the plain black-and-white or green-and-white ones.

You didn't spell it right it's converse. And for rock bands they are not. Maybe they were guy shoes or a bigger size. I'm 7 and a half so they arn't big on me. It's the size shoe you wear. If you wear Thirteens then they are huge. But if your a smaller size then no.

Yes they are ugly. They're not selling as much as they use to. And to think, these are the shoes our parents bought when they were young because they were the only shoes they could afford!!

I love my converse shoes. I have the orignal black and wite chucks... but of course, it all depends on your style and how oyu wear them, for me, i have to wear them with long pants becasue i accidently bought them 2 sizes to big, so they'll look retarded otherwise...but i love them.. and maybe its just your personal opinion that there ugly, obviously the people wearing them liked them.

Converse will never go out of style. They have been around forever. Stick with the classic black, off white, red, whatever...don't go crazy with color. My boyfriend wears his Converse with his suit all the time. It looks hot. Converse are very versatile and will never go out of style.

Well, there's different styles. I think the classic solid colors look good like black, pink, red...that sort of thing.
