It feels good to know that my bills will be paid and I won't lose my house and I have money to do what I want when I want. It's nice to have money in the bank and not have to live paycheck to paycheck. I am not wealthy or rich, I live within my means is all. I have always "saved for a rainy day".

It allows you to feel more comfortable about yourself and gives you confidence. Years ago, I struggled and lived paycheck to paycheck. Now, I have no financial woes and never think about money problems because I have none. I also have the freedom to buy just about anything I want and am never in need of anything. However, I'm not extravagant and other than what I've written here, I never brag or boast about my wealth. I think you don't need to make money a major part of your life.

If you cannot increase your income, I recommend you save as much as possible now until you retire, so that I least you can live comfortably when you stop working.

To be financially secure to me is more important than having tons of money. Yes, you don't have to be rich to be financially secure. It involves budgeting and saving. It may not sound too appealing, but I had to learn the hard way. It is wonderful not thinking about how I'm gonna keep my house, car, etc.
