I think they can see. I have seen one of my neighbours walking in sleep embracing a pillow and crossing the road safely avoiding vehicles etc.

No because i sleep walk all the time and i dont think i can see lol.Because you are still sleeping you are just walking.

Although you are asleep, there must be a perception of your surroundings, because people manage to get down stairs, open doors, avoid furniture etc.

I don't think they can see when sleepwalking...one of my younger sisters fell down a flight of stairs while sleepwalking.

Yes they can because they aren't completely awake but they're in their dream world.they have to beable to see while sleepwalking
