technically, I do not think there is any example of a vampire that existed in the manner we think of from media, like movies.
Vampire is just a word that discribes someone stealing from another. Vampires of legend steal blood, steal life....steal innocence. There is also a psychic vampire that steals energy and leaves the person with only boring mundanity. There is also a medical "slang" for a flabotomist, calling them a vampire since they take blood from people all day long....that's all they do.
History shows many people had a suspicion of the dead. When the crops failed, it was because the dead touched them. When the cows failed to give milk, it's because the dead touched them.
Vlad the Impaler was said to be a vampire, not because he did bizarre things with blood, but because he had a nonchalant way of handling politics. (I think he was insane from lead poisoning) He impaled people on stakes for different reasons and then often had lunch/picnic in the forest of speared people, sometimes still alive.
There was also a high ranking noble in the eastern block of europe that believed that if she bathed in the blood of virgins her youth would be kept. Many a night did she have innocent young women murdered just because she believed in the magical qualities of pure virginity.
There was also another note that the idea of anemia was begining to be understood but not we have in medical science today. Some doctors actually prescribed an anemic patient to drink the blood of nonanemics for the iron content and replace what they were missing in their blood system.
These incidents in acssociation with so many others, show without a doubt that the word vampire is an insult to humanity. a person described as a vampire is said to be associated with death and blood letting and sometimes drinking. vampires at one time or another were thought to be insane or way off societies track.

There has never been a traditional, living dead, blood sucking vampire that can turn into a bat, or fog if that is what you mean. There was however a romanian prince in the dark ages who would drink the blood of his enemies. His name was Vlad the Impailier, and he was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula.

There's no evidence, only legend. Some people believe that the myth originated with King Vlad the Impaler in Eastern Europe, but there is no evidence that he drank blood and rose from the grave. He was just a really successful warlord who seemed to take pleasure in killing his enemies.

Vampires, as in the classic day-light fearing bloodsuckers, do not exist.
But, there are those wack jobs who practice vampirism. Simply put, that just means they drink blood. In some cases, it's a rare condition close to cannibalism. Again, it's just a matter of belief and health.

i believe that vampires were diabetics in the old days. If a diabetic went without insulin for a couple of days the would gain light senitivity, an animal like appitie, pale skin and receding gums (vampire fangs) oh and because of the light senistivity they would sleep during to day

Vampires..Nosferatu.. call them what you like, are a thing of fiction and legend!..Count Dracula was an adaptation by Bram Stoker of the Magyar {hungarian} war lord Vlad teppes, also known as "Vlad the impailer"because he had a nasty habit of dropping his captives down onto a wooden stake, thus impailing them!..When you are dead, you are dead, you cant rise agin and bite people on the neck and live forever, or the world would have hundreds of millions of vampires in it munching on everybodys neck,..Surely someone would have noticed that by now, dont you think?

There is no evidence that vampires ever existed. This is assuming one must live on blood of another human alone in order to survive.

Vampire is a term used to pit one group of people against another. There are, in actuality no vampires, but alot of people who are just simply different.
