No. All you have to do is do a search on "Metric Conversions" and you can find a website showing how to convert English to Metric and back again. Back in the 70's, it was a big thing for everyone to learn the Metric System. Then people rebelled, so it went away. Now, people realize they need to learn it to be on the same level (measure?) as the rest of the world.

If you are American, no. America is the only country that does not follow the metric system.
Now, if you are American and in the sciences, you are more familiar with the metric system. Still, you can relate metric measurements to the English measurements even if you are not in the sciences. There are plenty of available sources, but here's an idea of measurements:
1 kilogram is about 2.2 pounds
1 meter is about 39 inches
1 liter is about 1 quart.

Yes, I live in the United States and I know the metric system. It's really common sense. The metric system is actually easier than the U.S. customary units. The metric system is all in multiples of 10 or 1/10, however you want to look at it. You just havn't taken the time to look at it that way before.

No, but you are stupid for advertising your ignorance. If you live in America (like I do), you should really learn it so you don't become another statistic - a tongue-tied, ignorant American.
I'm a Biology Major, so I had to learn it in high-school because I knew I would need it in college, but I'm glad I did because I don't know what I would do if I was unfamiliar with it!!!!

No, you are like the other half of the world. Most people only know enough to barely get by, or pass a test ,in middle and high school. Don't feel bad! We all have our faults, but who cares...right?!lol

Not stupid.. but rather ignorant about how the rest of world operates.. it is sort of a problem with most Americans really. A nice thing i read once:
"A question was put forward to all the countries in the world: it read
'Would you please tell us what is your opinion about the food shortage problem in the rest of the world?'
No answers were received really because no one understood the question:
People in Africa didn't understand what 'food' means...
People in Arab nations didn't understand what 'opinion' means...
People in South America didn't understand what 'please' means...
People in Europe didn't understand what 'shortage' means...
People in United States didn't understand what 'the rest of the world' means...
So.. you are just one of those..
