Who also loves the Titanic ? (not the movie )?

I love the real Titanic. I've looked at all the books I can find on her and watched all the doc. shows on her too. I have also watched the movies too. If I could see her in person -so to speak- I would in a heart beat !

I do like the history and have been intrigued since 1967 when I was a boy. I was going through an old house in Kentucky and in the attic I found a book written about the tragedy two weeks after the sinking. I still have that book and three years ago I took it in to an antique book store to have it appraised. The proprietor told me through his research there are only 400 copies of this book known to exist. In 2012 the one hundredth anniversary of the sinking I am giving the book to my youngest niece, who is equally intrigued with the Titanic. I thought at first it was Leonardo what's his name, but she really has forgot him now and is really into the Titanic. That is the most amazing thing about the whole story of the Titanic.....How after all these years she can still gather new members into her fan club. Sorry no the book is not for sale.

Me, too. I read the transcripts of the inquiry which took place in America after the survivors were gathered together. The stories each person told were absolutely fascinating. Learning about the conditions of the sea, for instance, that it was so calm it was almost like glass stirs my imagination. Like life, the story is filled with courage, tragedy, cowardice, and even humor.
