Reality is a mass-induced phenomenon, created in our Holographic Universe, i.e., when you turn your back on it or shut your eyes, it theoretically no longer exists. This is because of the "light wave/particle duality." It can exist only in one form or the other, not in both.

The reason it seems real is that we believe it is real and give it credence. However this reality can be changed (see miracles in the bible) and one day when men are perfect will learn this quantum holographic trick to focusing matter into the proper waveforms, correcting defects and righting seeminly impossible situations.

reality is something that can never be proven. The hottest topic right now in research is Appearance vs. Reality. Light falls on a table differently every mm of the way on the table. two objects cannot take up the same space so therefore you and me would see the light faling on the table differently. therefore we in fact arent observing the same table. thats appearance. reality is what that table would appear without light. since your eyes work on light, then you can never see the table in complete dakrness. therefore reality is whats going on in the dark according to that theory. I hope that helped you at least somewhat.

Reality is the existence of truth, known to us through sense observation and accurate perception. Perception leads to conception forming, which is how you think about and know the world. The result is human action, in reaction to an environment sensed and perceived.
A lot of actions can happen just due to sensing and perceiving, Some require the third step of conception and thought.
The amount of peace of mind you have and the ability to survive and thrive in the world is directly related to how accurately you perceive and how honestly you conceive (think).
On the other hand, to assert reality is an illusion means you can't deal with reality and are probably repressing fear. Fear is the result of ignoring perceptions over time in favor of thoughts handed down to you (i.e. your told by parents, religion, government what life's about before you can sense, perceive or think about it. )
A flaw in humanity is that we can know something about reality in our mind, by words, before we can know it from deep inside. The result is fear, because the actions that lead to perception stay as dead end road in our subconscious. But, they linger because we must go down them before we can make any ground on the main path.

Whatever you want it to be. Your perception of what's going on around you is your reality.
