I would never sell my soul. That to me, would be the same as selling my innermost self...If a person has nothing else they have that. I believe it to be precious. Your own light in the darkness. I wouldn't give that up for anything.

This is my version of Crossroads Blues, By Robert Johnson performed during the thirties in clubs and Juke Joints. I don't think it's stretching to think that Robert played it on the night of August 13, 1938, at Three Forks Road House outside of Greenwood Mississippi. That was the night Robert drank poisoned whiskey, put in the bottle by a jealous husband, it was also his last night on earth. Maybe the most covered song in the Blues, by everybody from Sonny Boy, Muddy, Wolf, Cream, Yardbirds & a whole lot more. I'd do this acoustic; just guitar, bass, drums & me on harp and singing.
