Why don't they attack the priests who molest hundreds of boys in God's house? No, they just pursue homosexuals.

I think it is easier to focus on a group and tell them how terrible they are rather than go out and do God's work.
I grew up in a Christian home in a basically Christian town and the people there had love in their hearts - God's love. They treated one another with love and respect.
Based on what I have seen since Ieft home I wonder how anyone is ever won over into Christianity. The people on this site sure don't seem anything like the good ladies and gentlemen I grew up respecting. Our pastor used to say "Don't be a stumbling block for other people, don't be the reason that someone is not lead to the Lord." Considering how many times the Christians on this site have attacked gays and told us we are all doomed to Hell I would say there are a lot of stumbling blocks around.
I hope God has a good talking to them when they get to Heaven!

I don't even know where to start!
Well, for one, I am a practicing Catholic, and I have absolutely, positively no problem with anyone who is GLBT. Believe me. I actually complain quite often that I don't have enough GLBT friends! (A sad reality). Not all Christians/Catholics are as hateful as the extremists. It's sad to say that the radicals in every religion and race make the rest of the group look bad. It's the same as those in the Muslim faith with the attacks on 9-11. Is every Muslim going to hijack a plane into buildings? God, of course not! (Try telling the government that). But many people believe that they will, just because of a lack of understanding and willingness to learn.
People twist the words of the Bible to say anything they want, and I personally think they distort the simplest message that God and Jesus gave us: "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR!" He didn't say "Love your STRAIGHT neighbor." He said to love everyone, equally. So many people seem to forget this in order to pursue their own agenda, and I'm sorry to say that they give us such a bad name.
I hope you won't cut off all Christians and Catholics! There are some good ones out there. You just have to find them.

Yo, jack f, you are a f-cking neo-Nazi f@g. I'd rather be turd fertilizer than just a f-cking turd like you. You make Christians seem worse than they already are. Do the rest of you cult members see what Christianity can do to you? Christianity allows a person to say things they normally wouldn't repeat if he or she was not under the influence. Why aren't Christians studied and put into mental institutions where they can receive help they need for this disease that is plaging this nation and the world? Hey, jack f, get out of my @ss already, jack@ss. I'm constipated. And stop speaking in tongues. I can barely understand you. You're making me speaking in tongues right now by not getting dumped into this toilet. Christianity breeds Republican kiss@sses, and we can't have that. Christians, let me give you an @ss you can kiss. Mwah! Yeah, right up all in there! That should be able to cure you of this dreaded epidemic!

I find that the majority of people who infringe on another groups rights have to have something to talk about. Once one group is tired and start fighting back and they realize they can't say or do too much about it, then they move on to something else. They justified slavery and heinous acts on African Americans too? I know, not everybody did, but the ones that did, is what I'm saying. And now they can't say anything about black people anymore, they've moved onto to someone else. It's easier to judge another person than it is to look at your own flaws. After all, if they didn't judge us and try to 'convert' us, then they'd have to find other reasons as to why they justify adultery, fornication, etc, etc, etc and all the other sins that are in the bible that apparently aren't as bad as the sin of homosexuality. My thing is, if homosexuality is such a sin and such an abomination that it should be banned, then they need to start doing something about adulterers, and fornicators as well. What's good for the goose needs to be good for the gander.
And I am so sick of hearing that marriage is a religious institution! It is no such thing! If it's such a religious thing, why don't you stop atheists from getting married? Atheists don't believe in God, and it's their right to do so, but nobody EVER says a word about it, and certainly no one tries to stop them from getting married! I swear the next time someone uses the excuse that marriage is a religious institution and that's why we can't get married I swear I'm going to scream!

You're forgetting:
Abortion
Birth control
Drinking
Drugs
Porn
Pre-marital sex
Recreational sex in general
Smoking
Now it may seem that Christianity is "abusive" but how many other religions "disagree" with these things? It's not about which religion, it's about how extreme the religion is.
Try being an openly gay male, eating a pork sandwich and drinking a beer in Saudi Arabia some time and then decide how bad it is here. I'm not saying that things are perfect, but it could be far worse.
Just trying kissing your girlfriend in Indonesia once...I hear their jails suck.

Being poor isn't a sin, unless you have squanderred all of your money. Being a widow isn't a sin, unless you have killed your husband. But participating in homosexual relations is a sin. It is much easier to speak out against something we can actually do something about. But how stupid would we look if we spoke out against poorness? SOME Christians, not all, have become very judgemental of homosexuals, but I think that, being a Christian, we need to not only accept people, but love them and try to help them. I am sorry that you have a bad view of Christians.

Well they do attack abortion too.
But I think we are feeling the heat right now because we have made so many forward strides in the past several years, and so they see one more wall coming down. It's a good thing that they come after us, it means we're making progress.
By the way, there are plenty of Christians who believe that Jesus taught us to love our neighbors, and that he was inclusive of all people, ESPECIALLY those on the fringes of society. Find your self a UCC Church, or UUA, or MCC or DOC that welcomes and affirms the membership of GLBT persons.

Hm, it seems as though they do.. but then again, they attack everything else besides Christianity. Why am I not surprised? No idea where these people got the idea that they were allowed to judge others. Sometimes, I think Christianity is kind of a free pass to judge others.

I agree with you that people should think for themselves, but you are not thinking too clearly either. You are stereotyping a group of people. Not every christian person hates gays. I can think of plenty of churches that accept gay people. Unitarian, Unity church, Theosophical and some others. A hypocrite doesn't have to be a christian and they attack everyone. Maybe you have to be more loving yourself. P.S. There are plenty of judgemental jerks to go around and they are not all christian.

Christians dont attack homos. The bible doesnt accept the gay lifestyle, or gay conduct, but the bible doesnt preach hatred or attack of you fairies. Disagreeing is not the same as attacking you, oh stretched bunghole one. So don't get ur pink panties in a wad, Mr Loose Lips will swivel hips. Jesus loves you, everyone else thinks ur a turd fertilizer.
