You can take a bus from South Beach to the metrorail train station and then take the trirail to Fort Lauderdale airport. There is a bus shuttle from the train station to the airport terminals. These buses leave as soon as the trains arrive. TriRail is a train that goes from Miami airport to West Palm Beach. It runs every hour. You can check time tables on the web. It would cost you like 4 dollars.

There are lots of Miami-Dade country buses running north and south near the beach, some going all the way up into Broward County, where you can board a BCT bus. However, I mention this because an all-day bus pass is great way to do some inexpensive sight seeing.

Your best bet for getting from South Beach to Fort Lauderdale airport is to take a bus or taxi across the causeway to downtown Miami, and board the commuter rail system. This has connections with Tri-Rail (the commuter rail system which serves Broward County). There is a Tri-Rail station serving Fort Lauderdale Airport.

The rail and bus answers seem good. You don't want to take a cab. A cab to Miami Airport cost me $22 from South Beach.

I did it once, and that i visit not in any respect did it back. I picked up my sister from fort Laud.Airport and it took me close to to 2 hours to get to south sea coast. To be trustworthy it would want to take everywhere between 0.5-hour without site visitors and rushing to 2 hours with site visitors even if you try to p.c.. It relies upon on the time, in case you intend on doing that at 11 53pm in the course of the week of spring wreck you're searching at close to to an hour in a nil.5 because you isn't the purely one on the roads on the on the spot.
