No, it won't make a baby bow-legged!! That's an old wive's tale!! My now 3 year old *always* stood up as a baby (she loved it), and she supported most of her own weight, too! In fact, she was small for her age and was sitting unsupported really early (4 1/2 months old), and people used to tell me I should *push her over*!! It's all (as another answer states) "bovine excrement".
If you listen to all the dos and don'ts everyone is so eager to share with you, you'll drive yourself crazy. Do what feels right to you.

ALL babies are bowlegged. Standing young doesn't make it worse or better. Don't listen to old wive's tales, get the facts. After the bowleggedness wears off they are knock-kneed for awhile too, nothing you can do about it.

No it won't make her bowlegged, like you said you are holding her up so you are supporting her weight.I did that to my daughter all the time and she's a knock-kneed 7 year old.

This is not true, just an old wives tale. My baby is 3 months old and stand up all the time, he is most happy standing and being a big boy.

even as my toddler woke me up in the technique the evening he may possibly cry 5 minutes (likely not even an finished 5). in ordinary words that lengthy reason i'd ought to run to the bathroom real speedy and get a speedy drink so i'd be wakeful adequate to snatch him. he's 8 months now and if he cries in the technique the evening I nevertheless bypass to him. certain the crying will develop into screaming even as it really is not getting what it needs/needs. children bypass by using develop spurts and teething and they're going to awaken for convenience or nutrition in the technique the evening. it will be a lot less demanding on them to get the toddler and placed the toddler in mattress with them even as it wakes. they could get somewhat extra sleep that way and the toddler will be at liberty.

absolutly not. my little girl was standing/ putting pressure on her legs at 2 months old and she is fine. Actually when you take the baby to the doctor they stand them up to see how much pressure they are able to put on there legs.
