I was printing a card and the ink started to fade on the right side.
Checked the cartridges and replaced them and alligned them. Tried again, nothing changed. I have a Dell a-940 all in one printer.
Please help...Thanks.....my insurance has run out on this.

Your contacts are bad. The gold connections that mate up with the ink cartridge. Try to clean them.
Unplug the device. Spray a quick blast of CRC QD Electronic Cleaner on it. It WILL Drip. Let stand until all evidence of the fluid has evaporated. Plug it back in, replace the ink cartridge, and try it. If that does not work, get a new device. All-In-Ones are great when they work, but individual components are cheaper to replace.

most times ive put new ink in they play up
sometimes it takes awile and they come good on there own
i just topped my ink up and had problems for a week or so
now its fine
printers are just like that and if you use them alot buy cheap printers so you can replace it
i havent had a printer last more than a year and half

Your printer is dirty. Clean everything inside and out, and it should work fine.
