The jeans patented by Levi Strauss at the 19th century, were created for the cowboys and workers of the mines. The fabric called denim, witch is a french word , that refers a port of the Mediterranean Ocean, where it was produced.
The big impact come thanks to Calvin Klein advertising performed by Brook Shields in the 80's.
Even if the jeans become a regular item at the stores in the 60's with the hippie trend.
Then in the 90's all the big corporations of fashion as Armani, Hilfinger, YSL, to target the young people introduce their jeans.
Most of the cotton for the jeans is produced in USA, China, Mexico and Brasil.

They go with just about anything and they're not limited in size. Personally the only jeans I own are jean shorts that I'm wearing now. I've always hated wearing jeans.

they are popular now because history repeats itself in the 80's there were the oscar de la renta and there were gloria vanderbelts and all the name brand jeans and it was so popular to wear them out to the clubs. Now they are back and costing alot more i just bought a pair for 400.00 they fit sooo good plus all the hip hop jeans are really popular and in style who knows what is going to be popular next.

Because no matter what you look like, jeans look fine on you. They can be worn by men or women, and there are tons of different styles. They're comfortable, they're always fashionable, and they can be worn no matter what you're doing, whether it's hiking or partying, whatever. They're very hard to ruin, and they're cool!

i dont like jeans i like short skirts and shorts and capries i never wear pants and i surely dont think that jeans are popular i think there gay

Because they can be worn by both sexes.They can be causal or formal.They can make you appear slim or curvy.They look good with almost any kind of shoes.Their comfortable,they last long,and they look even hotter when ripped.
