Normally young foals are cheaper than older horses, ones who have been trained already... Colour shouldnt matter for a horses price, but some times people tend to charge a bit more for rare colours (Grulla is rare here and the horses seem to be selling for a pretty penny) it also depends on if the horse is registered with APHA or any other paint associations. You should also look at how the horse travels.. ask the owner to try and trot the horse to, and away from you, and see if her legs travel straight, or sort of swing left and right... it could cost you in the long run, leg problems, foot problems, and if you want to show her in classes where they judge your horse, she might not place so well. but if she's going to be a pleasure riding horse, then i would say go for it, my old gelding "paddled" somewhat, but was a dream to ride :D make sure the horse is up to date with worming, and West Nile Shots, if you do those in your area, it will save you a bit of money right off. if you have more questions i would contact the APHA, you can look them up on the web, and im sure they would have a phone number and gladly take your call! Happy trails

It really depends on age, breeding, condition, personality, and health. Color is really only a decoration part. There are horses that sell for more because of their color but thats only because it is semi-rare or a really good breed. Lipanzzaners are sold for more because they are pure white 99% of the time and Friesians are sold for more because they are all black and because they are a rare breed. Health and breeding are really the top factors in price though.

The price shouldn't depend on the coloring, but the training, breeding, and age. Please be careful, as people who sell because their horse is a "pretty color" are selling for the wrong reasons.
