I like to paint pewter figurines. I haven't done this in a while but it's a lot of fun. I like the castles and fantasy types of figurines...detailed ones to collect and the cheap ones that people use for D and D for painting.

I've used scrap foam from computer boxes, cardboard from empty candy boxes from c stores, and an old t-shirt to make square sailed ships and caravels. I use paper clips to make the anchors.

I use hot glue and strapping tape for the construction.

Recycle old corkboards that have seen their day using push pins.
Usually they are already framed, so just slap on a few coats of
paint, and "eureka..." you have a base for your creative painting
to do. Great for kids too, and they can create their own
masterpiece.
