It doesn't burn your skin, and yes, it dries up the pimple, and of course, do it at night.. as well, egg whites work well to dry up the face (obviously only put it only on the zit.. and do it at night) and my friends aunt has also suggested popping a vitamin e pill and putting it on the pimple, but personally i've never tried that one...But to answer the question straight forward, if your acne is treatable with over the counter products, it will work..
Also, a word of advice, i know it seems really obvious, don't pop/pick your pimples, i've been told that many-a-times.. but i never listened, and neither did some of my friends.. but.. trust me, don't do it.. it only makes things worse... as i've now come to find out.. so please, for the sake of your face, & from someone who went through all this, and is still going through it, don't do it.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

I have known people who have tried that and it worked for them. I think it dries up the zits. I also know of people who have used Preparation H (really, no kidding!) It has been my experience to that anything you try only seems to work for a little while. I think your best best bet is to get into an acne research study. You get free medication and they pay you well for your time! The best one I ever did was one for a new kind of laser treatment. It was a little painful, but I got paid well, and that kept the acne away longer than anything else!
You can find studies on Craigslist under "general," "jobs," and "gigs." You can also go to www.centerwatch.com and click on studies.

toothpaste works for pimples and zits. put toothpaste, not gel, on the zit and then put a band-aid on it. best to do this at night so you don't walk around with band-aids on ur face.

A better remedy for that is "baby asprin"... just dilute the baby asprin with a little bit of water and the redness will clear overnight... (depending on how severe the redness is of course).

Yes, a little dab will be fine. Leave it on overnight. And make sure it's not the gel type.

yeah it actually does. if you don't want to waste money on speical cream, just put a bit on your finger tip and rub it in until you barely notice it. i suggest using this method before you go to bed so you don't be seen like a goof in public. ;)
