i must admit this show is annoying me big time. it sure started out great but then -- what a bummer. instead of giving some answers, it kept piling up more & more mysteries; to the point where there's gonna be impossible to apply a rational explanation of all. i keep thinking (since the beginning of season 1) that they are all DEAD already. they all die in that plane crash but thy don't know it.
what's your version?

I had thought for quite some time that they were dead and in some sort of purgatory. At the end of the last season however, we saw the "real world" in real time, as opposed to a flashback. Not only that, we saw an event on the island effect the outside world!
So now I'm thinking that there's some alien tech involved, which would be a really cheap way out, since alien tech can be made to do anything.

I don't know. It's a great show, but it seems like nothing ever happens and they tell the same thing over again. They keep adding on to the show because it has done so well and I don't even know if the producers know where the show is going. Also, there are too many comercials

Interesting...My husband is also frustrated with the addition of mysteries without answers.
I find that it only intrigues me more, and makes me want to watch it even more than I did before.
My version is that they're on an island that appears to be uninhabited, but really is part of a giant experiment. I'm still waiting to get more info on what the experiment is all about.

My dad feels the same way about the show, in fact he stopped watching it after they didn't show the monster on season one. I guess you either like the mystery of the show or you hate it. I'm not even sure the writers of Lost know what's going on so I won't be surprised if it's all just one long dream (or nightmare).

i think they are dead since the begining but they have to solve some personal issues, that's what they are stuck there. i think there wont be any logical explanation, and i agree it's getting complicated.

I have no clue. I just enjoy it as a great show on television.
