my com is displaying right date wrong day fri how can i change im new to coms?

I WAS THINKING ALL DAY TODAY WAS FRIDAY BCUZZ IN MY POP UP BAR AT BOTTOM HAS WHATS RUNNING AND DISPLAYS TODAY IS FRIDAY JULY 6 2006 ITS RIGHT DATE WRONG DAY CUZZ TODAY THURSDAY HOW DO I CHANGE THAT IN SIMPLE STEP BY STEP IM STILL LEARNING VERY NEW COMS

double click on the clock and change the day.

To change your calendar to the correct date:

1) Click twice rapidly (double-click) the bottom right hand of your screen where it shows the time. (ex: 7:23 PM)
2) The "Date and Time Properties" box will pop up.
3) Adjust the calendar to the correct date. You can also adjust the clock.
4) Click "OK"

double click on the date and the you will figure out the rest,it's pretty simple. When you get to the pop up window just click on the right day and that's it.
