I was pulled over about 2 days in texas for speeding. The cop searched my truck for an hour and found one mabye two marijuana seeds in the carpet. On my ticket i was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. On the ticket under contraband "yes" was selected and under type of contraband "other " was selected out of drugs, weapons, or currency. I have looked all over trying to find out if possession of a seed is considered paraphernalia or the drug itself.. To make a long story short i have no prior record of any kind and would rather this not go on my name. Do i have a leg to stand on, is this worth fighting?

It is 100% worth fighting a single seed or two is not contraband and in some states even a joint if it weighs a certain amount is not. Check with an attorney and know that it is not paraphernalia-most people are slapped with tickets and just say oh hell, but really read them and research what you are being charged with. Fight it-your name is at stake.
I apparently drove through a stop sign and it was on an elm covered street well the branches from the trees completely blocked it and you would not have seen it until you were literally in driving into the intersection, I was nabbed and cited- I took my camera that I keep in my glove compartment and took pictures of the scene and of the cop an my ticket-and fought it in court , the city admitted they were at fault and tossed my ticket away.

If the seeds were just lying on the floor of your truck, then you may have a legitimate case. But if they were concealed in like a bag or something that suggested that you were saving it, or going to use it, you are screwed. It all depends where it was found, and in what condition.
Also, it depends what you told the officer that wrote you the ticket. If you claimed it was yours or confessed to it being yours you are screwed. Also, did you sign the ticket that he gave you?
That could make things much messier. In the mean time, stop carrying around drugs.

that's bull. First, I don't think a cop would go through all that trouble if he didn't suspect something. Second, a "green seed"
looks no different from any other kind of plant seed. Third, he cannot prove it's yours or that you put it there. It could have traveled into your car by accident. Like you stepped on it somewhere and it ended up in your car.

I would challenge it. How are seeds paraphernalia? Ask the court how an individual would smoke these seeds. And just because they were there doesn't mean you had them. You could have very easily stepped on them and tracked them into you vehicle. I think there is plenty of probably doubt here. Challenge it!

They spent an hour snooping around your vehicle?
In Seattle marihuana possession for personal use the lowest priority for Seattle Police.
What did the cop do?....pick up a seed and say, "WELL LOOKEE HERE!"
Thats a bummer.

That is BS. Those seeds could have come from anywhere and been there for a long time. Did you buy the truck used? I would check with a lawyer.

I think a decent lawyer could take this case apart. If all they found were a couple of seeds in the carpet, there's a million ways it could have gotten there without your knowledge or consent.

I got charged for distribution for a blunt roach, lol. I told that cop Id see his *** in court. How dumb is that cop going to look if I took that to a jury trial and my lawyer pulls out that roach and says what I was charged with? I think that cop outta be fired personally. I could see if I had an amount of baggies or something...FTP!!
