We, the human race are an evil and sick people. It's like when you see someone get hit in the crotch on TV, it's funny. I like to think of myself as a nice guy, yet I do take joy in other peoples physical pain. I believe it is just human instinct. And violent games like the GTA series lets you enjoy others pain, and lets you go to a Fantasy world where you can do so, without being arrested or fined.

it is not that it is violent , it's how you can interract with anything on it which happens to be real easy when you make a viloent game . But I think if there were a game that had the same level of interaction but no violence it would do very well , for example the sims does extremely well . interaction with the enviroment is the key

Because it gives us the opportunity to vent frustration that we have toward other people. If we go out on a killing spree in real life, it has some damn serious consequences, however going on a killing spree on a video game has absolutely no consequences whatsoever.
