well, i have to say and it's pretty obvious, that so far in to the matches he is not perform as well as he should. he used to be fast, and his ball is not usually easily being stolen by other player during the match. but now it is. he is a great player, but, there's already a lot of players who outstanded him and if he wants to reamin as a legend, he have to work on his skills better.

Cheers!

WiseDad - Ronaldinho as never played for Arsenal or indeed any English side. Before Barca he was with PSG. Beachboy - Christiano Ronaldo is regularly left out of the Man Utd side and there are at least a dozen better players playing with and against him in the English league alone. How many goals does he score? How many chances does he create? He's beautiful to watch when he runs with the ball at his feet, but how many times are his crosses blocked by the defender that is on him? And there is a difference between having a great tournament, even if it is the world cup, and having a great season or career. Ronaldinho is probably the most skilful player around and some of his passing and running with the ball at Barcelona has been unbelieveable but he has certainly benefitted from being in such a dominant side. Even with Barca he regularly vanishes from games for long periods, but as a midfielder you need your forwards to make runs and make space, which the Brazilian Ronaldo has been incapable of doing because he is so unfit. If he did, Ronaldinho would probably find him with the killer pass, although granted he has been watched very closely and to me looks tired after a lot of games this season. So far, Zidane has had as much attacking influence on the tournament as anyone, but I suspect that the player of the tournament will end up being Cannavaro, especially if italy win on Sunday.

No, to be the best player he needs to play better than anyone else. Ronaldinho didn't do that at the World Cup, and while tearing down statues of him is a little extreme (lol), he either cracked under pressure or he just couldn't mesh with the rest of the Brazilian team.

No, he ain't.
Hey, Micheal E what do you mean that teams stck players against him and he can't play well. Pele, Zidane, Beckham are just a few guys who play the same whether they are marked by none or by 5 guys. In a EPL match (1903) Peter Fyol was marked by 4 guys and still scored 4 goals (irony, huh)
No, RONALDINHO ain't the best. Yes, he is good, not the best!

Ronaldinho didn't have a great world cup, but he's still one of the best players in the world...it's hard to say who the best player is...offensively? Defensively? All-round? Best holding midfield player? Best finisher?

I would say he's definitely one of the best attacking midfielders, but so is Frank Lampard, who had an even worse tournament!

It Depends. He was the best player in the world with Arsenal, He was the best player in the world in the beginning of the World Cup. It just depends who you ask. He can pass the ball like no one else.

well, just cuz his teams out doesnt mean we turn our back on him- hes still really good. but im sure many many players could give him a run for his money, although im not sure eexactly how you can unbiasedly and truthfully tell whether one player is necessarily a better player than the other.
