Well, you can't "cure" it, but you can make it feel better.
Part of the pain is due to the lack of moisture in the burned area. So yes, moisturizing creams do help in this regard.
I have also found that for me, taking a lukewarm shower when getting home and realizing I am sunburned also helps (before putting on the moisturizer).
Of course, best of all is to take the right sunscreen and other precautions . . . good luck!

I'm going to assume your asking what to do with a bad sunburn.
Absolutely do not put anything on it you will only seal in the heat and cause yourself further agony.
I usually take a couple of aspirins.
Run your shower medium to cool and get in. .
Gradually make the water cooler.
Continue until it is running cold.
Stick with it until it takes the heat out of the burn.
Believe me, it will.
Pat only 75% dry.
You should be comfortable. If your not, you got out to soon. R
Put absolutely nothing on it but a loose fitting shirt allowing good air circulation. Let the heat continue to dissipate.
If you feel the need to, put a very thin coat of a good grade aloe on it twice daily for a few days.
Good Luck

1. Take a cool bath or shower and gently pat yourself dry.
2. Cover the sunburned area with 100 percent aloe vera gel, hydrocortisone cream or sunburn lotion.
3. Apply cool, wet compresses to the burned area whenever you need relief from the heat.
4. Take aspirin or ibuprofen several times a day to reduce pain and inflammation. Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid irritating the burn.
5. Avoid breaking any water blisters. Apply antibacterial ointment to any that break on their own.
GOOD LUCK!! SUNBURN HURTS LIKE A MOTHAF#CKR!

The best way I know how is to use Lubriderm Seriously Sensitive lotion several times a day. This is the best lotion I have found so far. If the sunburn is extremely bad, though, you may want to consider going to the doctor.

vitamin e helps the best with making it so you dont peel

Sunscreen beforehand. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Every sunburn you get increases your risk of skin cancer later.

you can't really "cure" a sunburn b/c the burn is done. but try popping an anti-inflammatory like, advil to reduce redness and tenderness. but ultimately your best bet is to prevent a sunburn with lots of sunscreen!

Time.
First, cool it. It is a burn, which means the skin is a higher temperature than it should be. Use cool washcloths or towels.
Then use aloe vera.
