I'm going to put this to a vote. Is it the greedy republican that can't get enough and doesn't mind how much others suffer; or maybe the pie in the sky liberal with no grasp of reality.

I prepared income tax returns for AARP several years. I met both extremes. I met an 80 year old lady supporting her wounded Viet Nam veteran son. She worked in the kitchen at a discount retail store. I met a realtor who made over $200K and donated $0 to charity, she wanted her tax prepared free. I told her to take a hike. I also met people who consulted a note for their dependents names; and a lady who said."You report whatever gets me the most money". I told her to take a hike.
My conclusion, money and the lack of money corrupts. Three cheers for the middle. They are the best.

on average or median...

I think the average would be higher for the conservatives, due to heavy top side or CEOs and business men... but then you have all the poor christian conservatives... many in the trailer parks... that are a large part of the number

but the median would be higher for the liberals... more education and higher pay for a larger number in the party...

just a guess...

Trick question, nice! If you make a lot of money you are by nature a conservative since you don't want to part with it. If you make little money than you complain all the time about the government not helping you. Now the real exception here are those in Hollywood who make lots of money and don't send it to people but to seals and whales and redwood trees. All worthy causes, but maybe not as worthy as helping people.
I had a friend who was very liberal and wanted to be a doctor. I told her that once you start making money and getting sued for actions that you didn't cause you will become a conservative. Guess What? She became a card carrying republican of the most conservative kind.

From my experience on a college campus. Liberals seem more educated and have a bigger spectrum of thinking because they are more educated. While conservatives are just that, conservative, when it comes to thinking because they aren't that knowledgeable and not able to think in different ways. The only way a conservative could make a lot of money is in politics and a good ol' boy network. I think Neilman explained it well...“Liberals due to more education and intelligence. Conservatives due to greed and wanting tax cuts for the rich”
0h one thing I forgot to add…I go to school in the country…and I’ve noticed that for the most part, most of the people here, who shout loud and proud that they are republicans, loves bush, and support the war are like very poor and unintelligent…I never understood that…

I'm assuming you mean the average liberal or conservative. I don't have the numbers, but I would guess that the average conservative makes more money, and as such, pays more taxes. I have several reasons for thinking this, but the biggest one is the prevailing mindset - the conservative is more likely to go out there and earn it, do things for himself, and not expect a handout from the government.

Hard to be definitive either way, but I believe it's liberals. Most of Hollywood and half of business executives (the founders of Google and Progressive Insurance for example) are liberal.

Another clue is that the average donation to the Democrat party is higher than the average donation to the Republican party.

Conservatives, because they're Republicans and the Republican Party is the party of Big Business. The Democratic Party is more the party of the common man.

My opinion would be that more Conservatives would look for (and educate themselves for) higher paying positions.

On the other hand, many Liberals make big bucks - but not generally in the same ways as Conservatives.

Just my opinion - no offense meant to anyone. :)

Liberals due to more education and intelligence.
Conservatives due to greed and wanting tax cuts for the rich
So I would have to say both.

I've honestly seen both. But every time I see a dirt-poor republican it literally blows my mind.

It would ahve to be a conservative....we all know liberals just love to give away all their money to the people who really need it.....oh wait.....sorry....that's wrong, liberals like to give away tax payers money....not thier own.....so I stand corrected....Liberals have more money......more of their own money......wait that';s wrong too.....they have more of YOUR money.....there...that's about right.
