It all depends on which rural place/town about which you are talking. In rural northern Michigan here, we basically only have two cellular choices: Cellular One and Alltel. I've had both and Alltel definitely has better coverage here in the hinterlands. But things could be different where you are. You'd probably be better off asking around locally.

Verizon in the best and has been for many years. Second best, Cingular Wireless. By the way, company is spelled C O M P A N Y, not I E. Learn to spell and invest in your education before buying a cell phone.

It depends on where you get the best signal. Are there alot of trees or hills between you and cell towers???
