What do I know??? Hmmm... I know I have had a long hard work day. I know that I am tired. I know that I am sipping a mug of hot mint tea, and I know that after answering this question I am going to get up from the computer and rustle up some Welch's Fruit snacks.

I know, what I know....and grin....this was a good question. I am now wondering what I know, and how I know what I know.

Rereading all my "Knows" and their various meanings in the above paragraph, I know I am glad that my primary language is English :)

Delighted Grin...did I just get flamed on Yahoo answers????

In response to Kid13. I know how to spell Cereal, and I know that Welch's Fruit Snacks are not cereal. I know that yes, Welch's fruit snacks have sugar, but they also have a bit of vitamin A & C and I know that they are better for me than chips , and I know that my fiancee likes my shape :)

I know that what I think I know I may not truly know because that which I think I know and that which others think they know is more often than not completely different, and, moreover, because what I think I know and what others think they know more often than not proves to be false, all to the extent that I would rephrase your question to ask not what it is that a single individual may or may not know, but, rather, what it is that is actually and truly known by all.

If one could determine what it is that is actually, truly, and objectively 'known', humanity could free itself from the socio-cultural stagnation in our post-modern age; a society whose social and cultural development , in my honest opinion, has been hindered by the notion of moral relativism resulting from the cartesian mode of epistemological analysis.

Therefore, in exasperation, I ask the question: "What is known?"

The energy input must be greater than the energy output. Entropy. That's what I know. Hell is only for the living. The power of faith is faith itself. It is difficult to wrap one's mind around the concept of infinity. It is difficult to wrap one's mind around the concept of finite. I know that I know very little. I know that the things I know are theoretical. If I only know some things, and not all things, I know nothing. I know enough to know that unknowing is wiser.

Ask me a riddle, I'll always reply,
'Cottlestone, cottlestone, cottlestone pie.' "

It doesn't matter what you know as much as it matters that you act wisely. Too many people try to learn a lot of knowledge but are arrogant, selfish, impatient and jealous of others, the purpose of knowledge is to make us wise in our actions not to simply enhance our personality to make friends or just have fun socializing because that is foolish and leads on towards a delusional sense of reality. Too much emphasis is put in modern society for people to learn many things, but no enough on them to behave wiser and humbly through being learned. It has been taught so many times throughout history that knowledge without wisdom leads to corruption and a society that teaches education to its children without wisdom corrupts itself.
