I've petted and fed one once, at an Orlando themepark. Yes, it's a wierd feeling, but fun. ^_^ You're not crazy!!!....I think.......

Yes, we stopped at Grand Cayman on our honeymoon and went to Stingray City. It was quite an experience! The females are quite large and fearless. They let you rub the underside of their fins - really amazing. They will just sit there in the water and let you rub away. The guide said it felt like a little massage, and he was able to recognize individual rays. One in particular was very receptive to it. She would come up to him a lot, he said. They did this every day for tourists, so the rays were used to it.
