This is very untrue. I have known a few Russian and I even like them better than most american. American actually are so focus on illegal immigrant right now that they probably hate mexican and other latin american more than any others. They also are more paranoid about mid east (not me but you get the idea...). In fact many american often would be more curious about you than anything else. I really doubt there will be any trouble for you.

I think that Russians are pretty cool. I would like to learn more about pre-Christian Russia. I heard that they have Viking blood.
Some Americans will have a problem with any immigrant, no matter where they come from. Most Americans have no problems with the Russia of today and it's people.

Well........ I'm from Russia, and from my experience when i tell people that I'm from Russia they are normally extremely fascinated and i guess kind of exited. I was 9 1/2 when i moved here (USA) now I'm 17 and i still get that fascinated reaction, the only difference is now i can actually understand what they are saying. About the Americans hating Russians is not common and if you come across an American that does remember they must of bumped their head and something fell out (-;. Don't worry it will be great, just have an open mind and most of all have fun!

I have never hated russians...... and I don't recall any of my friends ever saying anything about hating russians. I think russian women are liked more than men cause they are really pretty, and the men seem angry. :) But to answer the question, Americans are cool with Russians. Come on over and visit.

I have always been interested in Russian culture and would like to travel there someday. I don't know of anyone who doesn't like someone because they are Russian.

I found your word choice interesting, I've never seen people who don't have English as a first language use words like wanna. I have nothing against Russians, as I do not know any.

I would say the majority of people in America do not hate Russia or your country's people. I would say to jump on a plane, get over here and enjoy yourself. In the bigger cities you would probably fit right in. No worries.

I think of Russians as being kind of held back from expressing their opinions due to their goverment in the past. I think of them as traditional people who value family and I have heard they desire American products too. I don't have anything against Russians.
