GREATNESS : The nurse in the emergency room at WCH , May 2002.
I somehow walked in and she took one look at me, had me stripped and on a gurney before she new my first name..
Because of her, I lived and did not perish at the age of 25..
I have Lupus and have been monitored for m.S> for many years. I had a tooth pulled by a dentist, 3 days later I was critical with an infection in my blood stream that had started to shut down my organs..
This lady showed me compassion, skipped all the paperwork and did not even care who I was. She got the medicine in me to keep me alive and did what she needed to do and more than what was expected..
I fully recovered from the massive infection.
I did spent 3 weeks in critical, but if I would of had to wait another 45 minutes, I would of died and I didn't know it..
I wish I would of gotten her name..she is a genuine hero...

Like the saying beauty is in the eyes of the beholder? I agree...but when someone comes along who truly portrays greatness...very few people disagree...for example: Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa or Martin Luther King Jr.

Chuck Norris has always been a great role model for me. His mustache and beard are the coolest in the world. His roundhouse kick can destroy anything it makes contact with. His charisma in the battlefield is unbelievable. Nobody compares to his greatness. I think everybody here adheres to his greatness.

We all(including you) have the potential for greatness.
To me greatness is when someone goes out of their way to help someone else.Greatness is all around us.
Not a day passes over the earth but men and women of no note do great deeds, speak great words and suffer noble sorrows.

Greatness is defined within yourself. What do you want? What are you goals in life? Did you/ can you accomplish those goals? Greatness is being the person you want to be.

Billy Graham is the image of greatness to me. His reputation has been through one minor scrape.

Someone once defined a hero as "Someone who sees what must be done, and does it."
I find that pleasingly succinct.
