What's your event? How about running a fundraiser where you ask friends and family to sponsor for x amount you do at that even.

For instance, if you are a swimmer, try and cast the widest net possible to have people sponsor you at 25 cents a lap in the pool, until you are exhausted. Also allow an upper limit so if you swim more than 40 laps, that person only pays a max of $10 if that's what they want to.

Collect things from your family and friends that are "unwanted" or donations, put an ad online in your area, saying: you are collecting unwanted things to raise money. (ask a parent first) because they will be going to help you collect the items.Hold a yard sale once a month and sell the items. My 14 year old daughter did this every month one summer on the average whe raised over $400 a month. She posted an ad on www.craigslist.org . You have to locate your city on the right hand side of the website. There are lots of things on there listed for FREE. All you have to do it pick them up. I hope that helps.
