Depends upon the Rep nominee. McCain is strong right now but has his age going against him. Prediction time: If he doesn't get the Rep nod, she'll ask him to be her VP.

Condie Rice would be a fierce contender as well -- that's the race I'd really like to see; I'd have a very hard time choosing that one.

Mitt Romney, current MA governor, might have a fighting chance especially if he can make the new insurance law work up there.

For the moment, I don't see any other Rep that could likely beat her. By the time she gets the nomination, she will have weathered well over 16 years of hardball politics and she hasn't faded yet. There's not likely anything that the "swift-boaters" could muster that would faze her.

Hillary lost all decency months in the past. She is turning out to be the Democrat version of George Bush and equating stubborness to regulate with a good plan. She is prevailing primaries at present because Republicans are crossing over to vote for Hillary. they received't be assisting her in November. Hillary is demonized through the conservative precise and could energize the Republicans. Obama is the most christian of all final applicants and he will dilute the Republican base. it truly is why a lot attempt has been made to discredit Obama's church.

it depends on if they pass that bill that will allow felons to vote. And how many illegal aliens they can sneak into the voters booth. But I don't think she will even get the nomination. But since she backs the president in staying the course in Iraq (or at least that's what she said a couple weeks ago) she wouldn't be their worse choice. But I think the way the Democrats have chosen to be so negative ranting and raving for the most part about Bush on every single thing he does to the brink of being absurd and boring, I don't think they will win again, It's kind of like a guy who keeps slamming a door into his nose and can't figure out how to stop. But they are in a tuff place they need the money from the extreme Lefty's and have to appease them while trying to put on a centralist face for middle America. I wish they would just say what they stand for like bigger government and higher taxes and more laws to keep us in line better. You can't be one thing one day and another the next. Most people see through that. But we will see. In a way I hope a lib wins so some of you would stop crying so much it's not good for your complexion lol

Not necessarily, a lot depends on the Republican candidate. Plus, there should be a huge surge against Republicans after these past 8 years of their reign of terror. Th marginal voter will switch to the Democrats. Hillary does need to come to the middle as doe any Republican to have a chance.

i fear this is the proverbial can of worms we've been warned about

no...of course not...she's incapable and this country isn't ready for women as leaders

i feel that both are sad, but there it is. Our country needs to develop out of a devolving culture of ignorance and greed as well as creating some good leaders to end the cycle.

A woman yes. Hillary no. Maybe we should talk about moving away fropm the two mainstream parties? It'll never happen but talk is nice.

peace

I am a Democrat and I have to say yes, look at what they did to McCain six years ago and look at what they did to Kerry two years ago, they'll rip Hillary apart, even though she's pretty tough. If we have another Republican elected in 2008, it will seal the fate of this great nation towards doom.

Only if the repubs run Laura Bush against her. that would be great . two women, each with ex-presidents for husbands. it would be a pure popularity contest.
it may overcome the american reluctance to trust a woman because either would have a man to back her up.
a man with provemnexperience.
it would be like Geo bush against Bill clinton.
what a contest. i would love to see it.

Vote for Hillary and Laura in the primaries and we will see.
either way we get our first woman president.

I don't think Hillary is the best chance... it's not a time to start taking chances when you have an empty seat and you're not the incumbent party... the ony person she could beat is Mit Romeny... Republicans won't go for a mormon... in my opinion...

The Dems will lose no matter who they pick. They're nothing more than a bunch of cry babies with no real answers. The only answer they have is Bush is wrong, because we didn't think of that first.
