Hmm - I would suggest never lying about your experience, since it is very easy to check and be caught at it.

Two suggestions:

1) Think about how things other than work have added to your skills that would be used on the job, and talk about those things. For example, if you want an admin's job, did you organize and run a household's finances and paperwork successfully?

2) Apply for jobs that better match your skills and experience. Look for words like "entry level" - where they may not have high expectations of prior work experience.

Good luck!

Some people do lie, but they better hope the current employer doesn't check. If I were you, I'd find someplace to volunteer. Even if it's not paid work, it's still experience. And don't be too picky about the types of job. You do have to start somewhere.

Oh boy, that age-old dilemma - how to get experience without experience. Companies do not want to spend 6 weeks showing you how to do the job. That's too bad because as an employee you may have excellent skills that would apply very well to their job. Perhaps you are not showcasing those skills well-enough in your resume and interview. 3 suggestions: 1) have someone look at your resume and tweak it, 2) do many mock interviews (check your local employment office for these services), and 3) try volunteering to get some experience. Not only will you have real experience to add to your resume, but if you impress the peopkle where you volunteer, they are usually more than happy to give you a really good recommendation.

Good luck!

Depending on what country you live in. In most well-developed countries, you should NEVER lie. Most employers in those countries accept fresh graduates in junior positions and they can get promoted later on based on their skills. In less developed countries, the story is a little different because of the very high unemployment rate that makes the employer able to hire an experienced person for a pay that is way less than what he-she really deserves.

I got my first job with a lawyer and I haven't had previous experiences but I was the most prepared of the people that wanted the job, so I think the answer is that you try to study all what you can

I never lie, but you have to sell yourself too. Say you are a fast learner, dependable, responsible, or enjoy a challenge. These are things that you learn through life, not necessarily work. Look people in the eye, sit up straight, and speak confidently about yourself and your abilities

Well juice up your resume or find a job that doesn't require previous experience.
