My opinion is to make sure your aim produces a kill when you pull the trigger.

It's not whether we should or should not have the right. The right to keep and bear arms is Unalienable, meaning it cannot be surrendered to anyone, any time, no matter what.
Gun control laws are pointless; if a person intends to use a gun in a crime, they are already a criminal. Nothing in gun control legislation has ever been proven to cause a criminal to stop and think, "gee, maybe I shouldn't use the gun to commit this crime-using the gun would be against the law!"
The reason that the Second Amendment is in the Bill of Rights in the first place is to keep the power with the people so that we will never be at the mercy of a tyrannical government again. It's not about hunting rights or target shooting; it's about freedom.

Hmmm. Guns, like any weapon (including your own hands) are useless to resolve anything unless you are very intimate with the weapon itself, and with your own mortality. My answer to your question is No; I wouldn't rape, rob or murder someone in the first place. But not because they own a weapon. It may be true that guns dont kill people, the shooter does... But the shooter (offensive or defensive, doesn't matter) has to be comfortable with their own death. Because who knows, the person you intend to shoot could be much faster and more effective than you...
And now for a Bonus Tip-
Here's how you chamber a round silently to avoid drawing attention to yourself. Remove your magazine from the weapon, quietly pull back the bolt (lock it there if you'd like), take a bullet out of the magazine and manually insert it into the chamber through the extraction port. Then slowly let the bolt return. It will not return all the way, so give a few firm presses on the forward assist to nudge it closed. Then cock the weapon an inch or two back to ensure the bolt has grabbed the cartridge, and reinsert the magazine.

Gun control is just a way for the Canadian government to make fools of themselves. It has gone so far over budget, millions of dollars, to bring it into being and yet there are still illegal handguns being smuggled into Canada daily. So the only people who will register their guns are the honest ones who only want to go hunting once or twice a year, or to keep an old gun that has been passed down from their father or grandfather from WW1 or WW2. The crooks know where to get a gun that is not registered and as far as domestic shootings go, if you want to kill your wife or husband you don't need a gun there are other alternatives.
Gun control is a lesson in futility!

I knew a guy that had a store and he cashed checks, he had is pistol by his side visible for everyone, then one Friday at closing time some people robbed him took his gun away from him and killed him, it the element of surprise that get you killed, I don't feel the need to own a gun since you can sense if the person with the gun will pull the trigger, stop being scared

I have guns for hunting, something I enjoy and do quite regularly. The last people I'm worried about taking my guns are liberals, it's the people now who spread fear for control and in the name of protection, those are the ones that should be feared. Whizzing down your back while telling you it's raining! I ain't worried none, they can come and get em, There are so many guns in America, if you need one, it would not be hard to find, or just get them the old fashion way, like they do in countries that have no guns, start with a bow and advance your arsenal!

You are right ARM everybody!!! Even kids so they can killl their classmates easier!! The phrase I believe is, the righ to bear arms to form a militia, and that is really not the same thing. Guns are dangerous. I live in Florida one of the gun states. They just passed a law here that if you feel threatened you can shoot. Now isn't that special!!! So now if someone cuts you off in your car and you feel they did it on purpose, good old road rage in this state, and you shoot them. You might get away with it!!Do you realize that if we took all of the guns in the world and destroyed them, along with all weapons we'd have no wars!!!But of course that would mean that women would have to run the world.

Gun control does not control guns. There are already thousands of gun laws on the books, have any of them taken guns out of the hands of criminals? No. The only people disarmed by gun control laws are law abiding citizens who aren't even the problem.

Law-abiding citizens should have the right to own a personal firearm. A background check is necessary and sufficient to assure that the would-be purchaser isn't a convict or wanted criminal. Note that when I say "personal firearm", that means a handgun, shotgun, rifle, that sort of thing. Private citizens don't need a semi-automatic or any sort of military weapon.
