Well, that all depends on several factors.
First, how old are you?
-If you are a teen you should be dating someone close to you in age, whether a year older or younger...
-If you are a young adult (college age) like me, it's definately ok to date someone several years older (up to 8 years older) and it's much easier, but NOT that okay to date someone that much younger, I'd say only a year or two younger, just because of the severe maturity difference between guys and gals.
-If you are around 30, I'd say it's okay to date with in a 10 year range both ways. 20-40.
-Over 40, I'd have to say 30+.
What kind of guys do you like?
-If you like wild and crazy guys that like to play beer pong, I'd go with someone younger.
-If you like quiet evenings drink a nice glass of wine and talking politics, go with someone older.
It varies from guy to guy and girl to girl. It's all about your tastes.
Just remember to make yourself happy!

they say that a male gets older faster then a girl so going out with a younger guy is nice...cuz they just more energetic even as you two get older and they stay good looking longer..right?

It doesn't matter what age they are unless you are a teen and they are over 21, of course. Your choice in dating should come from your heart. If someone is different from you, that is more than acceptable since we live in a country of choices and freedoms. See whomever makes you happy, life is too short to miss out on what might be true love with someone just because they are of a different age.

kinda depends on how old you are. If your over 18 go older, if your under 18 stay in your age group. Guys go to jail for that. :-)

My wife is 9 yrs older than me, but its great. It all depends on how much tou love someone.

Age really doesn't matter as long as you are in love then there is not one reason you two shouldn't be together.
